Bear and Chicken

In class we were doing Group Story Telling, we got into a circle and everyone said a sentence and then it goes into the next person and so on. Then Whaea Pene told us to go back and finish it off, ( the highlighted words are the ones that the whole class made up, the rest was what I did ) and here's my story.

Once upon a time there was a Bear and a Chicken, they lived in a house with some food, yummy. That’s weird! Then they went outside to get some fresh chicken nuggets. When they saw Goldy Locks yelling for help, they laughed at her face; it was awful because she was making a weird face. Bear went to help - because he felt bad for her - while Chicken was still eating his chicken nuggets. Again that’s weird!. Bear helped her out and shared the chicken nuggets. She told them about how she escaped these three bears because she ate their freshly made porridge, Bear was starting to get offended because the 3 bears she was talking about was his cousins, she started to say how fat and ugly they were and Bear had enough. Then they started to argue on who would have the last chicken nugget, they started to get really angry apart from Bear because he was already angry enough. Then they started to argue on who would have the last chicken nugget, they started to get really angry so Bear almost ate Goldy Locks, Goldy Locks almost ate Chicken and Chicken had the last chicken nugget. They lived angrily ever after…

Golden Writing - ANZAC Poem

Our DP came into our class and was talking to us about treating your writing as if it was gold, she said if you read your writing weather its short or long read it as if it was gold. She shared a slide with the whole class and we wrote poems using our 5 senses and 2 I wonder questions, this is my poem. 

Mr H's Adventure

The thing I liked about Mr Herlihy's adventure was the fact that he stood at the exact place that the ANZAC's landed in 1915. I was so amazed because 100 hundred years from then there were legends who took over the grounds and trenches, the funniest thing about Mr H's adventure was that the we thought the trenches would be miles away from each other but he showed us a photo of these two trenches that were just 2 metres apart. The creepy thing about Mr H's adventure was that the ocean was then covered all in blood, the even more creepier thing about it was that no one know where the blood went, it left me very clueless.

Friday Prediction

This Friday is a special Friday but Whaea Pene will not tell us what's happening, she gave us a hint and said "During the day, you might not do any school work". I think that we might have a fun Friday where you get to do fun activities such as,

• Sports - Basket ball, rugby,

• Swimming - Bombing, taking lessons

• Free time on chromebooks - Listening to music

And more fun stuff. Maybe it could be like a Mufti + Special performance in the afternoon,

Maybe it could be bring your pet to school day, or a Circus might come to school. Finally the head students came and said that on Friday it will you will be  doing some wet activities and in your house colour for an example I'm in the Green house and I have to bring Green clothes.

PolyFest - 2018

On Saturday 17th of March, me and my family came to support my dads school at poly fest, we were having fun until it started to rain, we were so lucky we bought umbrellas last minute. But sadly my mum told me to buy some food with my cousin and my uncle in the rain, I asked her for a umbrella and she tells us to go and get some food, she had already bought her food she just had to tell us to buy our food in the rain. We went to the Tongan food section and I found so many yummy things that were in the tent, I asked the lady if I could but 3 island lunch meals and she didn't hear me, so I said it again and she says in Tongan "I don't understand what your saying" so then my uncle says it in Tongan and the lady went straight to it. I knew there was something wrong but that was okay, we finally got back with our food and the rain went away, I ate my food with enjoyment until my mum pulls out a lot of cheeros with chocolate syrup on top. I took one and she pulls out 20$ and hands it to me and tells me to buy the 15$ pack from the cheero stand, and waited to order, 15 minutes later I finally got to order and I ordered the 15$ meal, Then the lady tells me my number is 23. So I went back and waited for my number, 2 minutes later a man shouts out " IT WILL BE A 40 MINUTE WAIT... sorry", I was so angry I was going to ask for my money back until the lady says not for the people who have there numbers, me and my cousin were so happy in relief. 10.. minutes of waiting we finally got our cheeros and I was just amazed from the smell of it, then the lady tells me to put any type of syrup on your cheeros, I was so cheerful that I put to much chocolate syrup on it. I came back to were we sat and he next performance was my dads school, so lucky we didn't wait any longer, There performance was called the " Ma'ulu ulu", I was excited for that until I ate the cheeros with my cousin and uncle. Dad was on stage playing the drums and I'm sitting there watching his school dance to the beat of the drums. Then everyone claps and cheers, then my mum says we have to go when dads performance was finished. We left the poly fest and I learned to not go to the cheero stand at poly fest next year, My dad finally comes home with a big smile and tells me " WE CAME 3rd", we cheered and clapped for dad.

Survival Of The Funkiest

This is the book I chose from my group box, It was about 2 people named Max and Ruby, Max and Rube had been selected from there schools to go to be the first contestants of a new TV channel "The Brain" The Brain is of course about people with a creative mind. But Max didn't really have any ideas until he met a girl about his age named Demelza, Demelza didn't care about anyone and anything, she didn't like recycling and she didn't like Max and Ruby. Max was observing her as she was getting ready and Max realised that she threw her rubbish on the ground, Max came up with an idea so he needed alot of help from the other contestants, Max and Ruby wrote a song about Reduce Reuse Recycle. It made them win the competition but Max didn't just win that, he also won his teachers trust from his school.      

Stalactities and Stalagmites

Today I learned something amazing about Stalactites and stalagmites, When discussing minerals, we often talk about Stalactites and stalagmites, the Stalactites are usually found in big caves, the formation of a stalactite will be around about 1000 years, Stalactites are kind of like sharp rocks hanging from the ceiling cave to be exact, Most stalactites have pointed tips and some don't. It is produced by precipitation of minerals dripping through the cave ceiling. A stalactite is a iced - shaped formation that hangs from the ceiling cave.
